Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Pocket Docket is built to keep your work confidential. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information, and we have no access to the time records you create.

The short version: Your matters, time entries, and disbursements stay on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We never see them. There are no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking.

1. Who we are

Pocket Docket ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application that helps legal professionals track billable time. This policy explains how the app handles information. If you have any questions, contact us at azzopalj@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information from you. Pocket Docket has no user accounts and does not require you to register or sign in.

The content you enter into the app — such as client matters, time entries, narratives, disbursements, billing rates, and settings — is created and stored by you, on your device. This information is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us.

3. iCloud sync

If your device is signed in to iCloud and iCloud is available, the app uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your data across your own Apple devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud database, which is associated with your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access the contents of your private iCloud data. If you prefer not to sync, you can disable iCloud for the app in your device settings, and your data will remain stored locally only.

4. Notifications

If you turn on the optional long-running timer reminder, the app schedules local notifications on your device to alert you when a timer has been running for a long time. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. We do not send push notifications and do not collect notification data.

5. Face ID, Touch ID & passcode

If you enable the app lock, authentication is handled entirely by Apple's system frameworks. The app never receives, stores, or has access to your biometric data or passcode — it only receives a success or failure result from iOS.

6. Analytics and third parties

Pocket Docket does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits. We do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking. Aside from Apple's iCloud (used only if you enable it), no data is shared with any third party.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual entries, matters, or disbursements at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. To remove synced data, you can also manage or delete the app's iCloud data from your device's iCloud settings.

8. Children's privacy

Pocket Docket is intended for professional use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

9. App Store

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information in connection with your download and use of the app, such as aggregate, anonymized usage and crash statistics. That information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact
